Tasked to create the look and feel for the predator vision for AVP. A difficult task considering the almost cult status of the first film and the familarity people have with the original look and feel.
The general layout was preserved with the audio analysis bar down the left side, but with a much finer grained display. The graphic elements were directly inspired by the production artwork and constructions of the Predators clothing and hardware.

An additional issue that cropped up was the use of thermal imaging. The source footage was PAL video with a resolution of only 720×576. The delivery format was 2K and even with the best upscalers the end result can be poor. The solution found was to employ the use of Genarts, Sapphire Plugins. Zebrafy was used to create a contour effect that effectively used the source footage to create a new high resolution source.

Unfortunately very little of this was seen in the film becuase of technical and production constraints.
